Hockley Hills School of Horsemanship

Meet Chelsea!
Hi everyone!
I’m Chelsea, lead coach at Hockley Hills School of Horsemanship alongside my sister, Cass.
I’m a rider, coach, and trainer based here in the area, though I originally grew up along the ocean just outside Halifax, Nova Scotia. I moved to Ontario in 2016 to chase my eventing dreams, competing up to the Intermediate/2* (3’9”) level. In recent years, I’ve focused on developing young horses in the hunter/jumper ring, coaching riders of all levels, and helping retired racehorses find new careers and new homes.
I’m an Equestrian Canada Registered Coach and currently working toward my Licensed Competition Coach status. I’m a very patient coach, and my goal is always to bring out the best in both horse and rider. Watching students and their four-legged partners grow, progress, and reach their goals is truly the most rewarding part of what I do.
When I’m not teaching or riding, you’ll usually find me at the farm spending time with my horses, dogs, and my two children.

Meet Cassidy!
Hi!
I’m Cassidy, though you’re welcome to call me Cass. I moved here from Nova Scotia three years ago to continue expanding my knowledge of horsemanship both in and out of the saddle. I grew up riding and training in the hunter, jumper, equitation, and eventing rings, with a foundation in basic dressage.
Over the past two summers, I’ve had the opportunity to compete at the Silver level, showing in the 1.10m jumpers and various equitation classes with my horse, Charlie. I take great pride in creating a positive, safe, and enjoyable learning environment for all riders, and I’m truly excited to continue growing alongside our students.
I currently ride and compete under the guidance of my sister, Chelsea, and I’m also furthering my coaching skills with her support as I work toward coaching at a higher level.
I look forward to learning and achieving great things together!
